Is traditional therapy just not cutting it anymore?
You’ve done the work. You’ve learned the skills. But something is still holding you back.
You don’t have the time to devote to weekly therapy sessions
Weekly therapy can sometimes feel like revisiting the same material again and again. Intensives reduce that stop-and-go feeling, allowing your brain to stay engaged in the healing process.
You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing
With extended time, we’re able to stay with your process instead of pausing just as things begin to unfold. This often leads to more noticeable shifts in a shorter amount of time. With weekly therapy often includes, 10–15 minutes checking in, 20–30 minutes of EMDR processing, 10–15 minutes closing, each week. Effective but can be slower and other distractions can come in and change focus of session.
You’re in the right place.
EMDR intensives can help you accomplish in one session what may take months in traditional therapy.
What is an intensive?
If you’ve been in therapy before—or even if you’re just starting—you might be wondering: Is there a way to make deeper progress without stretching it out over months or years? That’s where EMDR extended sessions come in, also commonly referred to as EMDR intensives.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a well-researched therapy that helps your brain process and heal from distressing experiences—whether that’s trauma, anxiety, panic, or moments that still feel “stuck.”
An EMDR intensive takes that same powerful approach and offers it in longer, focused sessions over a shorter period of time. Instead of meeting for 50 minutes once a week, you might engage in several hours at a time, over a few days.
Think of it like this: Rather than taking small steps each week, you’re giving yourself the space to take meaningful strides forward—without constantly stopping and starting.
1
Pre-Intensive Assessment
Your intake is a chance to identify goals, pain points and what you want to address in your Intensive. A workbook is available to help you identify areas that may need support.
2
Intensive
Session
Designed to help you process a specific memory, trigger, or stuck pattern in a more focused and efficient way than traditional weekly therapy. We spend time preparing your nervous system, identifying the core experiences and negative beliefs connected to the issue.
3
Post-Intensive Follow-Up
A chance to check in on how you’ve been feeling since the intensive and continue integrating the work into daily life. We review any shifts, insights, emotions, dreams, or triggers that have come up, reinforce the positive changes that are emerging, and address anything that may still feel unresolved.

Resolve deep wounds
Whether it was learned, implicitly or explicitly, that your worth was tied to performance, achievement, or meeting others’ expectations. Underneath the striving, there is often a fear of not being enough, disappointing others, losing connection, or being judged, rejected, or criticized.
Experience accelerated healing
Intensives are tailored specifically to you—your history, your goals, and what you’re hoping to shift. It’s a collaborative and deeply supportive process.
Overcome the negative beliefs
My favorite part of EMDR is watching people reprocess the experiences that shaped negative beliefs about yourself, such as “I’m not enough,” “I have to be perfect,” or “I’m unsafe.” As those memories become less emotionally charged, many people begin to naturally feel more grounded in healthier, more adaptive beliefs like “I am worthy,” “I can trust myself,” or “I am safe now.”
Find the healing you’ve been seeking.

EMDR helps your brain reprocess difficult experiences in a healthier way—so they feel more like something that happened in the past, rather than something intruding on your present. Over time, many people notice more calm, clarity, and freedom in their daily lives. And beginning to replace long-held negative beliefs with more compassionate, grounded, and empowering ones.

EMDR intensives differ from traditional weekly talk therapy by offering extended, focused time to work through a specific issue or trauma without stopping and restarting each week. Rather than spending months building momentum in 50-minute sessions, intensives allow for deeper processing in a shorter period of time, often helping clients move through “stuck” patterns more efficiently. Many people also find that intensives create more continuity, reduce the emotional buildup between sessions, and allow space for meaningful breakthroughs and nervous system regulation.

A consultation call can help determine whether an intensive feels appropriate for your current needs, goals, and level of support. It’s not a good fit if you are actively suicidal.

EMDR intensives can help with a wide range of concerns, especially for people who are used to carrying a lot while continuing to “push through.” Intensives may support processing traumatic experiences, chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, self-criticism, fear of failure, and the deeper negative beliefs that keep you feeling stuck in pressure and over-functioning.
For new mothers, intensives can provide focused support around traumatic births, postpartum anxiety, identity changes, medical trauma, and the emotional overwhelm that can come with becoming a parent.

Before your EMDR intensive, we’ll spend time preparing so you feel grounded, supported, and ready for the deeper work ahead. Preparation may include identifying your goals for the intensive, exploring important history and patterns, practicing nervous system regulation skills, and creating a plan for support and rest afterward. You’ll also receive guidance on things like hydration, sleep, meals, and minimizing stressors so you can get the most out of the experience.
